Roundtable Meeting for Samtskhe-Javakheti Residents
On 14 April 2010 GFSIS hosted a roundtable meeting for Samtskhe-Javakheti residents and Tbilisi-based international & non-governmental organizations representing the civil society sector. This roundtable was held within the scope of the Enhancement of Public-Policy Decision-Making Process in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region project while the participants’ completed a Study Tour in Tbilisi. Mr. Giorgi Tugushi, the Public Defender (Ombudsman), served as the keynote speaker of the meeting.

Presentation of Ronald D. Asmus`s Book: A Little War that Shook the World
On 12 April 2010 Europe House Georgia and the GFSIS co-hosted the public presentation of Ronald D. Asmus`s new book: A Little War that Shook the World: Georgia, Russia, and the Future of the West. At Europe House Georgia’s office, Ronald D. Asmus, Executive Director of the Transatlantic Center and Strategic Planning of The German Marshall Fund of the United States, discussed his new book on the causes and implications of the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war. Dr. Alexander Rondeli, President of the GFSIS moderated the evening.
